Grand Cayman Dive Resort

Wow! We just returned from a family trip to Cayman, this was my fourth trip to GCM, and our stay with Ocean Cabanas was one of the best so far. Liz & Gary have thought of everything a diver could need, and also everything you could want for exploring the beaches on non-dive days. The location is beautiful and quiet, far enough away from the Cruise ship traffic. The accommodations are clean, well stocked, and just beautifully furnished. The diving with Living the Dream was perfect. The staff is lovely and so helpful. When weather caused us to change some of our plans, Liz was so helpful in advising us on alternative things to do with our kids. We will definitely stay & dive with them again when we return!

My dive partner, my mom and I just returned home from staying at Ocean Cabanas. Our stay there was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had. When I say they have everything a diver could need, I mean it. Check in was a breeze, the staff there is the kindest, happiest and most accommodating staff we’ve ever seen. Everyone was always smiling and nice. It’s completely safe, they even have a night guard who is constantly around in case you have any questions. TMy dive partner and I were looking for a place that would accommodate our dive needs and since my mom doesn’t dive she was looking for a place where she could relax, sit in the sun and take a dip in the pool. Boy did we find the perfect fit for all of us. See More The grounds are stunning, there’s a beautiful tiki at the entrance to sit and read a book or catch up with friends, the saltwater pool has the most amazing views, there’s little areas overlooking the ocean to sit and relax, outdoor showers for to use and a free foot pedal sunblock station. They provide an area to wash off your dive equipment and an area to borrow free dive weights if need be for shore diving. We stayed in Sea Fan which is oceanfront first floor 2 bedroom. Before we even entered the unit, we noticed each unit had a whole private area devoted to hanging up any wet dive equipment so you didn’t even have to bring anything inside. When we entered, the tv’s were turned on to underwater footage with nice calming music. When I say this place is fully stocked it is. Just hit the grocery store and the liquor store which is just a quick 5 min drive away and you’re good to go! Our unit had a fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs (which were amazing to take to 7 mile for the fireworks spectacular on New Years), cleaning products, bath towels and a wonderful welcome note with our dive pick up schedule (the owners own Living The Dream Diving) and a book full of useful local information on everything you could possibly need. If we had any questions regarding anything, the owner, Liz, was always so quick to respond in email. I have no clue how she runs the dive company and the cabanas so efficiently with so many moving parts but she does it perfectly, she’s amazing. Literally next door is an adorable little restaurant called Vivo and they have their own dive shop to do shore diving at Lighthouse Point. Ocean Cabanas works hand and hand with the dive shop next door and offers a complimentary tank of air/Nitrox to go shore diving with them, I thought that was such bonus on top of everything else that was so wonderful with this resort. The beach is just a quick 3 min drive down the road. It’s a great location, you cannot beat the service, if your diving the valet pickup and drop off are first class, the grounds are well manicured, the units are absolutely beautiful and the views are stunning.
